Camp in the City
Camp in the City provides children and teens with the opportunity to enjoy the excitement and fun of camp, without ever leaving the city.
For four weeks, the Gilda’s Clubhouse is turned into a summer camp complete with camp-like activities such as marshmallow roasts, scavenger hunts, barbecues, art classes, drama workshops, game days, sing-a-longs and storytelling.
Camp in the City offers one week for teens, one week for children ages 4-7 years, one week for children ages 8-12 years and an all ages week for children 4-12 years.
Community outings are organized, too, and might include swimming at Cherry Beach, hiking the Bruce Trail, visiting Ontario Place and the Metro Toronto Zoo, and going to Riverdale Farm.
Camp in the City is designed to encourage campers to express themselves in a supportive and stress-free environment. Activities are intended to foster increased feelings of control and to build self-esteem. Register early, spots fill up quickly!
