Adult Bereavement Support Group
An eight-week group for individuals who have had a loved one (family or friend) die of cancer. This therapeutic group encourages participants to explore and share their experiences and feelings around their grief. Areas of grief that may be discussed may include guilt/anger, relationships, triggers, and self-care with others who are facing similar circumstances.
Session Dates: Spring 2021: Thursday, April 8- May 27, 7:00-8:30 pm
Please note Adult Bereavement is a virtual support group that requires a meeting with Program staff prior to your first attendance.
Gilda’s Club Greater Toronto offers 8-week support groups three times a year. Our support groups are run by mental health professionals who have a strong understanding of the unique needs of individuals who have been impacted by cancer.
Support groups are not operated on a drop-in basis. We encourage commitment to the entire 8-week. A commitment to the group helps to build community and allows for topics and conversations to be built on week by week.
