A cancer diagnosis not only impacts physical health, but it can also affect the emotional health of the person living with cancer and their caregivers. This life-changing experience can bring about a roller coaster of emotions that goes beyond the initial cancer diagnosis. This presentation discusses common cancer-related stressors and ways to cope to improve your quality of life.
Presenter: Zeba Tayabee
Zeba Tayabee (she/ her) is a Registered Social Worker at Gilda’s Toronto as the Membership Engagement Coordinator. Within the last ten years, Zeba has worked in various roles with individuals, families, and communities. Zeba is passionate about finding ways to support and advocate for people to access services for positive well-being and quality of life within the healthcare system and beyond. Outside of Gilda’s Toronto, Zeba is a member of different committees highlighting patient voices within the cancer system and uses her experience to contribute to cancer research.
