Family Evening | Connecting Through Community

Gilda’s Toronto invites all family members with children and youth under 18 years to join us for our first in-person family event.
We aim to build community connections with families directly impacted by cancer and create memories together.  Following a community dinner, a facilitated therapeutic family art experience will take place. You will be invited to create a ‘family tree’ using a variety of art mediums and supplies. You are welcome to bring photos of all family members directly or indirectly within their system, which can be added to your family tree. Together we will recognize all the significant people in our lives that help build the community around us. Registration is required to attend.

Location: North Toronto Memorial Community Centre- 200 Eglinton Ave W.

Registration: Members can register through our weekly newsletter.  If you and your family are not members but would like to join you can fill out a Membership Inquiry Form.
Facilitator: Tory Hagerman (she/her),  CCLS, BA., has been the facilitator at GCGT for six years.  As a Certified Child Life Specialist, Tory focuses on supporting children, youth and families in psychosocial oncology within the clinical, community and home settings. Tory is passionate about providing family-centred care while supporting the health equity and psychosocial needs of children, youth & families to be included and informed through life experiences such as illness, dying and death.
