Kids Talk Out- Older School Age Children (9-12)- Spring Session
An 8-week virtual program for children who currently have someone in their life who has cancer. A weekly professionally-facilitated peer support group for children older school age, 9-12 years. This group will provide children with an opportunity to connect with peers, share experiences around cancer and how it has affected them and their families. By using a variety of therapeutic play activities, which are mailed to their home, the children will engage virtually to receive support and education, ask questions, express difficult feelings and share common experiences with other children who have experienced a similar situation.
Session Dates:

Gilda’s Toronto offers 8-week support groups three times a year. Our support groups are run by mental health professionals who have a strong understanding of the unique needs of individuals who have been impacted by cancer.
Support groups are not operated on a drop-in basis. We encourage commitment to the entire 8-week. A commitment to the group helps to build community and allows for topics and conversations to be built on week by week.
