March Break: Stress and Release
We are offering virtual programs this March Break Camp for children ages 4-12 years, who have an immediate family member living with cancer and for bereaved children who have lost a family member from cancer. Our programs are designed to foster age-appropriate education about cancer, grief, healthy coping strategies and emotional expression in a fun approachable way.
This program is offered virtually. Members can register their child(ren) through our weekly newsletter.
Stress and Release
Children can have many different worries, stresses, or other big feelings and reactions in response to difficult experiences. These can be intense and hard to manage. Having a physical outlet to release these feelings can be helpful and encourage relaxation. For this March Break program, we will be creating balloon stress balls that children can use to help relieve tension and feel more relaxed.
- X2 balloons
- Permanent Markers
- Funnel, or piece of paper rolled as a funnel
- Filling (one of the following: rice, cotton balls, sand, cornstarch, icing sugar)
