I’m showing cancer who’s boss
I was diagnosed with metastatic triple-negative breast cancer in February 2021, when I was 37. It was an incredibly shocking and terrifying diagnosis.

Over the years, the connection has become more personal for Fiona – when her close friend received a diagnosis, Fiona called Gilda’s Toronto because she knew she would get the kind of support she needed.
I was happy to be paired with someone who shared the same experiences.

I found a group of people I can really connect with.
The day I was diagnosed, I just cried all day. I didn’t want to talk to anyone, not even my husband.
