About this course

Physical activity and attending to the mind-body connection have been shown to:

  • Reduce stress, depression, and anxiety
  • Help individuals manage pain from the side effects of treatment
  • Increase a general sense of well-being

Gilda’s Toronto volunteer instructors pay special attention to the needs and physical capabilities of the class attendees and are there to support individuals that may be actively in treatment. Caregivers and Bereaved can also use these classes to care for their own physical and emotional health as they care for their loved ones.

  • To participate in a support group you are required to go through Gilda’s Toronto intake process. To start that process you can click on Become A Member and fill out the form.
  • The virtual support requires a computer, phone or tablet with a camera,  internet connection and a  private room without distraction to participate.
